Leaving lovely Portomarin, with a luxurious overnight stay at the Pazo de Berbecoros, a route of varied terrain lies ahead along with a combination of both heavy rain and glorious sunshine to accompany the day’s walking. Gravel roadside paths, leading onto woodland tracks, this stage finds the highest point with an elevation of 720m. Gentler climbs and descents follow into Palas de Rei, but the excellent omnipresent waymarking has and will always continue to be, very reassuring.
